This comic was inspired by a few true-life events, and a few different weasel guys, to put it simply. This strip was actually quite popular, which attests to the sad fact that we all know a weasel guy or two. Hopefully they grow out of it, but I don't think they ever do. They're kind of like Mikey from Swingers except not endearing, and they never get the girl at the end.
